We are writing to remind you that the BioStar 2 Cloud Feature will reach its End of Support on March 31, 2026, at 23:59 (KST). After this date, all Cloud Feature functions will stop working and all associated data will be permanently deleted.

Please complete the required transition steps before March 31, 2026, at 23:59 (KST).

  • End of Distribution — No new BioStar 2 Cloud activations allowed: August 31, 2025 (already in effect)
  • End of Support — Full discontinuation of BioStar 2 Cloud: March 31, 2026

⚠️ Important: After the End of Support date, your existing domain (e.g., subdomain.biostar2.com) will no longer be available. A new domain must be created and configured.

Please choose one of the following options and complete your transition by March 31, 2026, at 23:59 (KST).

Option 1

Upgrade to BioStar 2 v2.9.12 and Enable Remote Access (Recommended if you are currently using BioStar 2 and not yet migrating to BioStar X)

  1. Obtain a BioStar 2 Remote Access License first.
    • For licensing inquiries, contact your regional Suprema Sales Team or a Suprema Authorized Partner.
  2. Upgrade your BioStar 2 installation to v2.9.12.
  3. Create and configure a new domain.

Option 2

Migrate to BioStar X v1.0.1 or Later and Enable Remote Access

  1. Obtain a BioStar X Base License and a Remote Access License first.
  2. Migrate from BioStar 2 v2.9.11 to BioStar X v1.0.1 or later.
  3. Create and configure a new domain.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. Can I keep my existing domain (e.g., subdomain.biostar2.com) after the End of Support?
No. After the End of Support date, your existing domain will no longer be accessible. You must create a new domain and activate the new Remote Access feature.
Q2. Can I continue using the BioStar 2 Mobile app?
No. The BioStar 2 Mobile app relies on the Cloud API and will no longer be supported after the End of Support. Please transition to the BioStar X Mobile app. Technical support for the BioStar 2 Mobile app will be available until March 31, 2026.
Q3. What will happen to the data stored in BioStar 2 Cloud?
Only the email address used during activation is stored — no passwords or personal information are retained. All stored data will be permanently deleted after the End of Support date (March 31, 2026). For further details, please refer to our Privacy Policy
